mae x scalamandre bethany top in jardin de chine
The Bethany Top brings vintage-inspired elegance into the modern wardrobe. With a 1960s-style cowl neckline and a V-back, it strikes the perfect balance between refined and alluring. Pair her with the Lilah Skirt for a sweeping ballgown moment, or dress her down with jeans for a look that’s effortlessly chic.
Our newest collaboration with Scalamandré features their famed "Jardin de Chine" wallpaper design thought to date back to the 1960s or 1970s. The graceful pattern was discovered in the Noble Hardee Mansion in Savannah, Georgia—a stunning relic often called “the last unrestored grand mansion in Savannah." Working with our mill in Italy, we reimagined the iconic wallpaper as a chiné fabric—a luxurious material known for its distinctive blurred or watercolor-like patterns, achieved through a specific pre-weaving dyeing process.
