NYC Vintage and Consignment Stores

One of the best parts of living in NYC is the unbelievable number of incredible vintage and consignment stores across the city.   I've spent the last ten years curating a list of the best places to shop second hand throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn.  These are my top picks and guides to shopping sustainably in the city.

La Boutique Resale
1132 Madison Ave
laboutiqueresale.com

A two floor haven of consignment and vintage goods and hands down my absolute favorite shop in the city.  It's extremely well priced and well curated - think 2000s Dolce meets one of a kind Moschino.  Make sure to check out the top floor for a huge sale section and a rack of to-die- for vintage in the back!

Michael's Consignment

Definitely one of the higher end consignment stores in the city, but if you're looking for an upper east sider's gucci bag, this is the place to go.  Personally, I always pop in to see their shoe selection, which tends to have everything from Stuart to Ferragamo to Chanel.

They have multiple locations in the city, but I think the 19th street location is the best!  It's a great place to go if you're new to the second hand scene as it's set up as a true boutique and you don't have to dig - everything is super organized by both color and size.  They also have a cute little vintage section in the back!

Beacon's Closet

Not for the faint of heart - Beacon's is first and fore most a rite of passage for every thrift-happy new yorker.  It is is honestly a bit of a mess, but if you love to hunt for your closet's next treasure, then there is no other place to go.  My greatest treasure was for sure the fendi runway dress I snagged for under $150 ! They have a few locations, but I recommend the union square location if you're in manhattan or the williamsburg one if you're in brooklyn!  be warned, there can be a line to get into the union square one, but it's worth the wait!!
